I was quite intrigued by this product when I saw it at Farmers- tubes surrounding each eyelash, which create a lengthening and thickening effect. I've tried the XXXL fiber mascara by Maybelline and wasn't too impressed by it, but the more I read about this L'Oreal product, the more I wanted to try it and see for myself.

So I bought myself one today, for $35.00.

The first step is to apply the fibers, which is the white looking stuff. As soon as I applied it, I immediately saw these ...

Well first off, I LOVE the smell of this stuff. Like dark Guinness Stout and a touch of lemon. It looks delish too, thick and dark.

It does a superfantastic job of cleaning, I dont think my hair ever felt so clean after one lather. And lots of lather it produces too.

The bad news is, I've had to stop using it because I'm getting dandruff from it and an oily scalp-eek! I think its over cleaning and my poor head is dramatically overcompensating. I only use it twice to 3 times a week. ...

Forgot my usual Loreal Professional S&C when I went to the pools the other day, so had to bludge off a mate.

Tried this Garnier stuff and all in all, it really wasnt too bad.

Smelt divine, like a fresh cut white peach! And the best bit, I didnt get an oily scalp after a couple of days and my hair looks bouncy, shiny and and looking really lush.

Dont know what this is like long term, but after one try, I was satisfied.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!!!!

The only downside is, its hella expensive to get it over here to NZ. I bought about 8 of them from the US last year when our dollar was doing great against the US dollar. But now that the dollar exchange rate has gone down for NZ, its obscenely expensive.

It scents your hair with the Pink Sugar fragrance, and makes your hair so soft and super shiny. You have to be careful to spray lightly otherwise you will end up with greasy hair. ...

The reactions to this are bizarre, I get people stopping me in stores, asking me what I'm wearing, and end up giving away a free spritz to complete strangers lol The comparisons people say it smells like range from custard, ice cream, candy floss, donuts and cake.

It goes on so smooth, its not sticky and over oily. Its just perfect and leaves you with such a delicious Pink Sugar scent. You could get away with just wearing the Massage Oil and not the perfume, its that good.

Hard to get to NZ though, the shipping is always a killer.

This is probably one of the best mascaras at an affordable price.

I got absolutely no clumping from this product, and at $9.99 what a steal! While it doesn't give me 'Super Full' lashes, it does a great job at defining without clumps, giving good colour and reasonable fullness that lasts all day. The brush is quite clean and the mascara itself doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. The more you apply, the thicker your lashes will become, but you may encounter some clumping with each thickened ...

Mmmmm! Smells like Pina Colada, and lathers so thick! Very tricky to use in the shower though, you kinda have to smush it into a shower puff, foam it a little and off you go. You cant really smush it straight onto your skin, as its like jelly, it will simply slide off and plop down the plughole. Packaging is minimal, a plastic tub, but it holds the product well and keeps it out of the water. Does a decent cleansing job, doesn't create any buildup on the shower either.

It is so nice to use, it doesn't scrape my skin like most sugar scrubs do, and is full of heavenly smoothing and moisturising butters and oils. I dont have to moisturise after my shower as this scrubs nourishing oils and butters leave plenty of moisturisation behind. Set it with a same coloured powder and you're set.

The price was good, under $20.00 and lasts me months. It does need sharpening, but it doesn't break off/melt like some cheap flimsy pencils that keep breaking before you get a nice sharp tip. I would be devastated if they stopped making this!

Whoa! This is like a smack in the face with a bunch of tuberose lol Very bold and creamy floral scent, not for the faint-hearted, or your co-workers. I found it a little too overpowering for my liking, so had to spray sparingly. And something was lurking in there , like an undercurrent of something poisonous or treacherous. Spine-tingly-ingling! I disliked it for the longest time, then all of a sudden, I simply adored it. I never fail to get compliments from others about it. Interesting scent, ...

Love this scent!

Its a true peach scent, not a cloying, synthetic peach. Simply gorgeous, clean, fresh, feminine and sparkling wrapped in a whisper of white floral. I love how there is virtually no alcohol smell from the moment you spritz it on too.

The only downside is its expensive and lasting power is poor. It pays to get the body lotion and layer it to make the scent last longer.

This is worlds apart from Tommy Girl and there is nothing else on the market that is remotely like Dreaming.

This scent is eerily similar to Trouble by Boucheron. I love Trouble, so its only natural I would find Fresh Vanilla appealing. I love the combination of marshmallow and citrus, wrapped in in a whisper of rose. Its a fabulous combination and I only wish it had more staying power. Its not as sickly sweet as one would expect, its quite creamy, mature and well melded with the other notes. I wouldn't say its smells of fresh vanilla at all, its more of a warm marshmallow. The price was good too, $69 ...

PureEssentials Vanilla and Jojoba Face Polish

This is my new favourite skin care essential. It smells deeeeevine (vanillary/coconutty/sugary) and leaves my skin so soft.

Simple to use: Massage into damp skin, rinse with warm water and pat dry. Now this may sounds silly but it doesn't taste grotty when you get a bit rinsed in your mouth either. (Oh come on, this must happen to other people too?!)

The generous tub will last me ages and there is no unnecessary packaging.

I came across PureEssentials on TradeMe, but they ...

Ok, so I'm not a dieter, a g/f gave these to me as she was leaving the country. Always a good opportunity to try something new.

Was sceptical at first at just how good a "diet shake" could possibly taste. I liked the Vanilla and Berry flavours. Wasn't sold on the ChocMint or the coffee ones though.

I made smoothies from them and added a few frozen berries and a banana etc. Were considerably nicer than I was expecting from a "diet" type product and would ...

Maybelline Superstay Gloss

I like this gloss. It's a two part process... you pop on the colour to start with, let it dry for two minutes, then use the clear gloss over it.

Is easy to apply and the colour lasts all day - which for me is no small feat; I'm always eating or drinking off my lip colour.

If I want to change the base colour, I add a little suitable mineral eyeshadow or blush colour before the gloss layer.

So far the container has lasted me a couple of months, wearing it a few times a week.

A bit pricey for what it is. A blend of solid butters, oils and exfoliating ingredients such as Adzuki beans and Rice.

I loved the result, beautifully buffed skin and a smooth moisture film, but it is used up so quickly in the shower that I simply cant go spending 16 odd bucks every 2 weeks or so. packaging is minimal, as all Lush products are, the square tin is a must for keeping dry though, or you will end up with a melted mush. I did find the rice a bit harsh on my skin, and my daughter ...

Revlon Colorstay Active

I liked the range of shades this came in, but unfortunately this foundation left me greasy, with nasty breakouts around my chin and caked into the fine lines under my eyes, making them look bigger and more noticable. It also made my face sweat, so I was always shiny looking.

Price wise, it was reasonable (under$40) and the packaging was good, a handy little tube. But I had to carry a sponge around and that's when things get messy.

Would not repurchase.
